The power amplifier is the device responsible for amplifying the signal that the mixer delivers so that it can sound through our speakers. We always have to choose the right power amplifier for the speakers that we are going to connect it to.

  For example, if we choose 4 speakers of 200 W each to 8 Ohms for our room of 100 square meters, and connect them in parallel (two speakers to each power amplifier channel) we must use a power amplifier that is capable of delivering at least 400 Wrms on 4 Ohms (which is the resulting impedance of putting 2 speakers of 8 Ohms in parallel).
